Inspired by the original Rainbow flag of 1978 - made by activist Gilbert Baker and commissioned by Harvey Milk, the first openly gay elected official in California. Baker believed "flags have power, flags say something". As a symbol of pride, hope and solidarity, this flag feels as relevant now as 50 years ago.
